Media personality, Nana Romeo, has urged veteran actress, Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, to clarify her claims that former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings, took a vehicle from her.

He noted that Maame Dokono's assertion that the car was seized due to a misunderstanding, without explaining the root cause, is problematic.

Romeo noted that to prevent any further disputes and rumors, Maame Dokono should explain what led to the seizure of her vehicle and the reasons behind her decision to leave the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

"For her to move from NDC to NPP, most people would be wondering the motive behind such action. Up till now, she has not explained the exact reason she moved from NDC to NPP. She always says that there were a lot of issues which she mentioned Konadu Agyemang Rawlings’ name for seizing her car and others.

"But she did not go deep to explain why the woman asked for her car to be taken away. So, we will be waiting for it,” he said on UTV’s United Showbiz, hosted by MzGee, on August 3, 2024.

Maame Dokono, who gained fame through the Akan Drama series, "Obra" on GTV, and as the host of "By The Fire Side," entered politics during the late Jerry John Rawlings' administration by joining the NDC.

However, her political allegiance shifted when Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo became the NPP's flagbearer in 2008.

Maame Dokono has announced the launch of her new book, due for August 7, 2024, which will cover various aspects of her life.
