Tema International School celebrates 15th Anniversary

Tema International School on Saturday, October 6, 2018, celebrated its 15th anniversary on the theme "Reflecting on our journey; Inspiring new directions’.

Speaking to students, parents and patrons gathered at the event, Mr Ken Darvall, Principal of the school advised that children are given the chance to learn programmes or courses they want.

“If the student is not doing what their first choice is i think it’s going to be a lot of disappointment down the track, who is going to the university? Mum, dad or the student? We want our children to be successful. Let's make sure we support them the right way and let’s ensure that there is balance”, he said

He also congratulated the Founding family for reaching this significant milestone.

Performances

The one-week long celebration which was climaxed at the school’s premises saw a variety of performances by students from different countries, including Ghana, India and France.

History of the school

The school, established in 2003 by the late Mr Adjavon and Mrs Adjavon was founded on the basis of producing students with a vision of creating a world-class, international-minded, service-oriented institution that would create the ethical citizens that Ghana requires to progress.

Tema International School has admitted students from countries such as Togo, India,UK, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Korea who go through the ICGSC curriculum and International Beauraclaute before proceeding to Universities in Ghana and beyond.

Mrs Adjavon was presented with a citation by the Alumni of the school while hard-working teachers were also honoured.
