Accra, April 3, GNA-Pastor Emmanuel Nii Aryee, Madina District Head of The Apostolic Church Ghana, has called on political parties to bury their differences and champion one cause to ensure national development. He said the situation where political parties were at each other's throat did not augur well for nation building.
Pastor Aryee made the call at the opening of this year's Easter Convention of the Church at Madina near Accra on Friday. The four-day convention which is under the theme: "The exalted Christ", is being attended by about 1,500 members. Pastor Aryee appealed to the parties, their followers and traditional authorities to forgive one another and live in peace and harmony as Jesus stood for peace. He also urged Ghanaians to see Easter as a period of hope in spite of all unbearable economic, social and political problems. Pastor Aryee urged them to use the occasion to also renew their faith in God and uphold the principles and values of Christianity. Pastor Victor Teye, Lay Movement Leader, urged the youth to desist from all forms of anti-social vices. 3 April 10
