The Breasted One Foundation, TBOF, Ghana, this Tuesday morning made a presentation in the form of cash, to Madam Barbra from Accra.
The amount is to cover the cost of Mastectomy at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra.
The operation scheduled for Thursday, will involve the total removal of her left breast. TBOF helps women who could not afford the expensive of treatment.
The President of The Breasted One Foundation, Naa Koshie Quaye, in a short speech, expressed the need to report to the hospital as early as possible if any lump is detected.
Naa Koshie Quaye also called on the public to support these women who are suffering from breast cancer by donating to The Breasted One Foundation. The NGO supports hundreds of women every year.
The Breasted One Foundation is a leading Non-Governmental Organization, promoting prevention and early detection of breast cancer in Ghana, through screening, education and creating awareness.
Mad Barbra, thanked the foundation and said she is surprise that a small painless lump which was detected barely 2 years ago, can cause such a swell and a sore that will not heal.
She, Mad Barbra, advised women not to be naive as she is and promised to educate her family about this menace.
