Godwin Awunyo was a man who was loved and who loved life but the deadly kidney failure snuffed his life at the very prime. He was a cheerful, charming, and vivacious young man with a large heart that was full of love and kindness.

Following his sad passing, a foundation – the Godwin Awunyo Memorial Foundation (GAMF), was instituted in his name to continue his legacy.

The foundation is set up to provide free basic education, healthcare, and other social interventions in order to meet the needs of those with renal problems, orphans, and the impoverished.

As part of that drive, plans are underway to extend the activities of the foundation to others parts of the country, particularly to assist the underprivileged in society.

Godwin always wanted to give back to society, thus he was thrilled to interact with and motivate the younger generation before he passed away.

In line with this, the management of the foundation has stated that in a developing nation where poverty is rampant, it would not be inappropriate for the wealthy to make a significant contribution to bettering the lot of the less fortunate.

β€œThe foundation was founded in honour, memory, and continuation of Godwin's generous heart, which shared, cared for, loved, and placed a smile on people's faces in whatever manner it could. It has benefited numerous people as well as educational institutions.”

The foundation's administration states that the organization's goal is to make a positive difference in people's lives by providing gifts, education, and gospel outreach.

It further stated, "It is our collective duty to see to it that those in need of shelter, food, and a purpose in life."

Its mission is to be an indigenous foundation that will show love, help and support through, given, education and propagation of the gospel in Ghana West Africa, Africa and beyond Africa.
