The Legend Lives On. Fellows

At the time that eulogizing and celebrating the Life of Prof. Andam draw closer, we shall all take a moment to reflect our thoughts and envisage who this man was and has been to us. The perdurable mark that he has sojourned in our lives; the love and ardency that he has shown to us; and the fatherhood that a lot of us have pirated from him, is so elephantine and unforgettable. Losing Prof. Andam is one of the most difficult things we can endure. No words can express what friends, families and the whole nation is feeling at this denture; and most of us especially, “fellows” sure only time can help us accept the fact.

Andam was our hall master “Katanga”, professor at the engineering school and vice chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology ”KNUST”. We have known him as one of those hard working fathers, a mentor and a conservator. His words were the law in our hall. He made us to realize what it takes to stand up for what we believe in. He was very compassionate and kind person. Most of us are who we are now because we had him as a coach. He was very strict as a hall master (Katanga) but that’s only because he cared for us so much. He instilled in us the intellect strength, knowledge, moral abidance and self confident. As we anguish now, we are still soaked in happiness and joy in that he has finally gone home to our creator. His mannerisms and some traits reflect down to our emotions but since none of us could have stand up to the inevitabilities in life, fellows shall charge and accept it. As it happens, we shall all deep down in our heart, embrace it, celebrate and eulogize at this moment. This is indeed a sad time for all of us. We have lost such a great person. I think sharing our grief would help us ease our burdens.

On behalf of the Fellows (Katangees) and UST alumni (Technokrats), we respectfully invite you to join us in Eulogizing and Celebrating the Life of a Great son of Ghana, Prof. K. Andam.
