Thomas Broni inaugurates Hwidiem Zongo branch of Nasara Club

Hwidiem (B/A), Dec. 6, GNA - Mr Thomas Broni, Deputy Minister for Interior and an aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Asutifi South Constituency, has called on the people to continue with their support for the government's policies to enable the country chalk more economic success.

He said what the government had achieved so far was due to the confidence and support all Ghanaians had given to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Broni, who made the assertion while inaugurating the Hwidiem Zongo Branch of Nasara Club, asked the people to rally behind the government of the NPP to win the 2004 elections.

He noted that the four years of the NPP rule has brought a meaningful infrastructure development to all parts of the country and promised to support the people in their development efforts and appealed to the people to give him the mandate and that of President J.A. Kufour. The current sitting Member of Parliament for Constituency, Mrs. Cecilia Amoah told the people to rally behind the aspirant, saying, she was whole heartily behind Mr Broni and there was no conflict between themselves as perceived by some people.

Mr Ibrahim Ahmed-Abass, the Brong Ahafo Regional Co-ordinator of Nasara Club asked the people to consider the up coming elections as a serious one and to come out in their numbers to exercise their franchise for the interest of the nation.

Mr Ahemd-Abass commended the Nasara Clubs in the region for their strenuous campaign and asked them not to be complacent at the last hour and to avoid situation that could lead to electoral offences. He asked Muslims, especially women to educate the people on government policies and programmes so that they could contribute their quota towards the development of their areas.

Alhaji Fusani Midga, the National President of the Nasara Club said the NPP was ready to accept all those who would see the light and join its fold and charged the members to be wary of people who go about preaching falsehood about the party.

He assured them that the party has come to stay and is capable of making the country a middle-income earner. Other speakers at the function were, Hajia Zeinab, National Women Youth Organiser, Mr Nsiah Agyapong, DCE for Asutifi, Mr J.K. Brobbey, a citizen based in USA and Alhaji Adam Mohammed an executive member of the Nasara Club.
