Scores of NDC sympathisers cheered relentlessly as President John Dramani Mahama touted the several achievements of his government when he arrived in Zebilla to continue with his tour of the Upper East region as part of the NDC’s campaign on Monday.
President Mahama spoke of the party’s massive infrastructural development and the need for Ghanaians to retain the NDC for another four-year term. He advised the electorate to desist from engaging in violent acts even when provoked by opponents.
The president’s comment comes in the wake of recent violence recorded in a number of areas across the country with the latest being a clash between supporters of the governing party and the opposition NPP at the residence of the leader of the largest opposition party in the country.
