Titus Glover weeps: I’m not ready to stay in opposition...

Member of Parliament for Tema East, Hon. Titus Glover, has advised Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to exercise emotional restraint towards some leaders in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking on Oman FM, Hon. Titus Glover called on the Member of Parliament for Assin Central to tone down and rather rally behind the new NPP leadership to clinch power from the ruling National Democratic Congress.

Hon. Kennedy Agyepong is known for his outspoken nature and earnest quest to unveil the canker in the party. He has been contending with some leaders and members of the party, hence raising doubts about their commitment to the party.

Before the party’s National Delegates' Conference in Tamale on Saturday, April 12; Mr. Agyapong was strongly psyching the delegates to change the leadership of the party. His calls courted controversy and inflamed passions from different sections within the NPP.

But Hon. Titus Glover believes the period of accusation and counter-accusation is over and now is the time to mend broken bridges. He urged the new executives to focus on their mandate to enhance the fortunes of the party.

Imploring the new leaders to unite, he said, "I’m not ready to stay in opposition for the next four years".

"We’ve finished everything now. Let us calm down and see how best we can harness our strength, our resources, our intelligence, our everything to make sure that we support whoever is elected after the flagbearer primaries,” he added.
