For the average Ghanaian, especially those living in Accra, one of the many promises by President Akufo-Addo with which the success of his presidency will be marked on is his promise to make the capital city the cleanest on the African continent.

Addressing a joint news conference at the Jubilee House with Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg a year ago today, President Akufo-Addo shared his dream with the prime minister and outlined to her how his government intends to achieve this dream.

President Akufo-Addo has outlined measures aimed at making Accra the cleanest city in Africa.

This includes sensitizing Ghanaians to what is needed to be done to keep the Metropolis clean, placing of litre bins across the capital, improving the collection of garbage among others.

Addressing a joint news conference at the Jubilee House with visiting Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg, President Akufo-Addo said his government will adopt best practices elsewhere to achieve this dream.

Norwegian Prime Minister who is also Co-Chair of the imminent Group of Advocates for the UN SDGs, Erna Solberg admitted not all the 17 SDGs can be achieved by the 2020 deadline.
