A Cape Coast-based Methodist pastor who often prays and worships with the 92-year-old mother of late Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has been contracted by the family of the late VP to break the news of her son’s death to her in a manner that will not affect her health, MyNewsGH.com has sadly learnt.

It has become difficult to break the news to her owing to how close she was with her adult son, who rose to become Vice President in her lifetime.
The very old woman who has been a pillar in the life of the late Vice President from his birth, to his schooling to his work as a lecturer at the University of Ghana Economics Department; and later to the governorship of the Bank of Ghana.

A family source confirmed to MyNewsGH.com that the late Vice President’s mother, together with his wife Matilda were very instrumental in Dr Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur accepting to partner with Mr John Mahama in the 2012 elections.

The Methodist Bishop is expected to use ‘diplomatic and spiritual skills’ to bring the former Vice President’s mother to the reality and finality of death, which has laid its proverbial icy hands on its latest victim, her son, former Governor of the Central Bank and former Vice President of Ghana.

MyNewsGH.com this morning broke news about the death of former Vice President of Ghana under the John Mahama administration, Paa Kwasi Amissah-Arthur who passed on after he collapsed at the gym this morning and was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was confirmed to have passed on.
