The Toronto branch of the New Patriotic Party has donated campaign posters of President Kufuor and the NPP worth over ?30 million to the party.
The presentation which took place at the Ashanti Regional Office of the party was done by Mr Yaw Osei-Amoako, the immediate past chairperson of the Toronto Branch and the aspiring NPP member of parliament for the Efiduase/Asokore constituency.
Donating the items, Mr Osei-Amoako said the donation was the branch's expression of confidence in the leadership of President Kufuor as he and the NPP seek a second mandate in December.
He used the occasion to urge the government, parliament and the electoral commission to ensure that Ghanaians abroad obtained the right to vote by the year 2008.
Receiving the items, the Ashanti Regional chairman of the party, Mr Antoh, expressed the party's appreciation for the donation and said the posters would help promote the party in the region.
He further expressed his delight that Ghanaians abroad had also observed the good performance of the NPP government, and promised that the NPP would keep pursuing its vision to improve the living condition of all Ghanaians.
