Tourism Minister storms Kwahu to promote domestic tourism

Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Art, Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has stormed Kwaku to celebrate the Easter in a grand style with Ghanaians.

The Minister who is also the MP Prestea Huni-Valley said plans are underway to train our local pilots to operate the paragliding activity and advise Ghanaians to be adventurous when it comes to tourism.

She added that for hundreds of years, tourism has been an important sector contributing significantly to the economies of many countries including Ghana.

She said in Tourism, this is known as ‘invisible export” and it is significant in the socio-economic development of any country.

"It also creates jobs, reduces poverty, and foster human development and environmental sustainability. Tourism benefits a country in a more number of ways and brings immense opportunities for an all-inclusive growth of a country" she noted.

Madam Oteng-Gyasi further assured Ghanaians that all bad roads leading to Kwahu will be put in a good shape which will promote the event and attract more foreigners so that the country to generate more revenue.

She took the opportunity to wish Ghanaians happy Easter.
