Towards 2016 Campaign Funding; Alan threatens NPP

Lack of funds in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is making it inclined to threats.

Over the weekend, an instance of open threats and blackmail popped up when one of the NPP 2016 flagbearers-aspirant, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen launched his campaign, telling his audience that if he is elected flagbearer of the NPP, he will raise funds for the party for the 2016 election campaign.

This implies that, if Alan is ignored at the forthcoming party congress and not elected the flagbearer of the NPP, he will not raise funds for the party towards the 2016 elections.

In a related development at the same campaign launch whiles Mr. Kyerematen promised that he will support Nana Akufo-Addo if Nana is chosen over him, a close associate, Dr. Richard Anane, was heard making contradictory statements.

Dr. Anane says Alan has not been given enough time to campaign, and so will not support Nana Addo if Nana is elected the 2016 flagbearer of the NPP.

“How can a losing candidate accept to support the winner," Dr. Richard Anane is reported to have said; as he registers his displeasure with regards to the three-month campaign period given to aspirants against his claims of the prescribed six-month period enshrined in the party constitution.

Insisting to become the “okro mouth” of the (ex-President) John Kufuor faction in the NPP, it is on record that Dr. Richard Anane was quoted in Dr. Arthur Kobina Kennedy’s book (Chasing The Elephant Into The Bush, pages 8, 9) as saying that “Alan would make the best President amongst our crop of candidates and that the women would vote for him because of his looks,” attributing it to former President Kufuor.

From Dr. Anane’s statement above, it, therefore, stands to reason that Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen looks more handsome than Nana Akufo-Addo.
