An Accra Circuit Court, on Thursday, remanded one Mary Aboagye, a trader, for possessing 14 wrappers of a narcotic drug without lawful authority.
Mary pleaded not guilty to the charge but she was remanded by the court to reappear on October 19.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector B. O. Yeboah, told the court that the accused person was a trader, who lived at Bortianor Red-Top, Accra.
He said on September 29, the New Weija Police, conducted a swoop at Botianor and in the process arrested the suspect in her house.
The prosecution said a search was conducted in her room and 14 wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp were retrieved.
Chief Insp. Yeboah said in her caution statement to the Police, Mary admitted ownership of the suspected narcotic drug.
