A letter from the Office of the President, dated June 21, 2018, and addressed to all the affected officials, said: "Guidelines in respect of future foreign travels, aimed at minimizing disruption to government's domestic work, will be communicated to you shortly."

The letter, signed by the Chief of Staff, Madam Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, added: "The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration is, however, exempted from this temporary ban on foreign travels."

But speaking on the Gold Power Drive, Monday, Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa who is also the ranking member on Foreign Affairs described the move as depicting an indiscipline government in total disarray.

‘’This shows that the chief of staff’s office has not been on top of its job with ministers travelling at will which does not speak well of the government’’ he said.
