All too soon, merry making with friends and family are over but life still continues. During the Christmas, People went shopping, partying with friends and hanging out with loved ones with the little money they had saved in the course of the year forgetting that a new year awaits them to continue their life journey.

It’s just the first month of the New Year and almost everybody is complaining of zero funds in bank accounts and wish they had saved some coins to sustain them in the months ahead.

In an interview with GhanaWeb, some Ghanaians have regretted spending lavishly during the festive season because there is no money to live on this January hoping to plan better and not found wanting in other years to come.

Others however, are of the view of spending more since Christmas is noted for jubilation and merry making. Despite admitting being broke, they are ready to ‘hustle’ and make money this January to cater for their needs and wants.

One of such said, “As for the Christmas boys went out to chill leaving us with zero account so we are now gathering some coins to survive this New Year. We admit that January has been very tough but we will sail through”.

Some Ghanaians shared their ordeals on how life is treating them after Christmas and this is what they had to say.
