The General Overseer of Glorious Word Ministries International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah is under attack over certain frightening revelations he made during 31st Watchnight service in his church.

The controversial man of God revealed he foresees the death of former President John Mahama, current Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and some prominent personalities in Ghana including the National Chief Imam.

He also declared that people are scheming to poison President Akufo-Addo and further advised persons mentioned in his prophecies to take spiritual actions against the doom.

A group of agitated Muslim youth stormed his church Wednesday and vandalised properties on the premises and the main auditorium to protest against the death prophecy about the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharunutu

They threatened Rev Owusu Bempah to withdraw his “fake” prophecies or witness a worse attack from them.

Reacting to these prophecies, a section of Ghanaians want pastors to desist from openly declaring doom which they believe, create fear and panic in the country.

Some Ghanaians who shared their views in an interview with Ghanaweb want pastors to use more relax approach in breaking the scary prophecies to the targets such as approaching the individuals in question directly rather than the ‘public announcement approach’.

They called for regulation and monitoring of churches to get rid of fake prophets from the system.

“Some of these pastors are said to be swindlers and extorting money from people. They do these so people would run to them to avert the curses and in turn, get their money and be rich,” an angry citizen said.

Some want Rev. Owusu Bempah arrested and caned if his prophecies do not come to pass.

Others were of the view that, the prophets could have prayed to overturn the evil orchestrations rather than igniting tension.

They called for the closure of ‘one man churches’ and sustain the original ones such as Pentecost, Presby and Catholic to avoid issues.

Others advised fellow citizens to join hands with the prophets to pray against the tragic deaths yet to hit the country as revealed.
