Trinity Foundation offers free medical care to inhabitants

Anwomaso (Ash), April 9, GNA - The Trinity Foundation Ministry has organised a series of clinics under which over 1,000 inhabitants in five rural communities in the Ashanti region were treated and offered free medication.

A five-member medical team from the Trinity Foundation Ministry of the USA conducted the clinics with drugs mobilised from pharmaceutical companies in the USA.

The five beneficiary communities are Anwomaso and Duase in the Kumasi metropolis, Banso and Bankame in the Asante-Akim South district and Achiase in the Atwima district.

Speaking at the last of the clinics at Anwomaso on Friday, Dr Henry Dumas, Medical Director of the Trinity Foundation Ministry, USA, said the most common diseases that came up for diagnosis and treatment was malaria. This was followed by worm infestations, boils and skin diseases. He said people diagnosed to have diseases such as tuberculosis, hypertension and diabetes, were referred to the hospitals because such diseases were chronic and needed continuous supervision.

Reverend Samuel Odarno, President of the Trinity Ministry in Ghana, said it was observed that poverty accounted for a lot of the sicknesses in the communities.
