Few days back news broke out that popular Ghanaian young millionaire, Ibrahim Daouda a.k.a Ibrah had been arrested for his involvement in a money laundering deal worth $1.2m after he failed to give his friend involved in the deal, an amount of $400,000 as his share.

According to the story, his friend, Stephen, out of anger and disappointment reported Ibrah’s activities to the police due to the fact that his share of the deal was not given to him.

Ibrah was reportedly arrested at his plush East Legon mansion when he least expected and according to widespread reports making rounds within the media fraternity, Ibrah is allegedly reported to have threatened to expose all others with whom he has been doing his money laundering business with and has even mentioned the name of a Ghanaian blogger, Jojo, who he has claimed is one of his many accomplices.

Other reports have it that, Ibrah has threatened to expose New Patriotic Party member, Kennedy Agyapong, also as his accomplice.

However, due to painstaking investigations conducted by showbizpunch.com and interactions with people close to Ibrahim Daouda, contrary to reports that he threatened to expose Kennedy Agyapong as an accomplice, showbizpunch.com can state on authority that Ibrahim Daouda has no business dealings with Kennedy Agyapong.

In fact, in the course of finding out more about the Ibrah issue, showbizpunch.com bumped into Ibrah at East Legon and he categorically stated, “I have not met Kennedy Agyapong and do not have any business dealings with him. The reports being peddled around is quite unfortunate and unacceptable’’.

Reliable information available to showbizpunch.com also indicates that neither was Ibrah arrested by Interpol nor he was picked up at the airport. In fact, it must be emphasized that the whole issue has nothing to do with money laundering as reported.

The true facts of the issue has it that Ibrahim Daouda a.k.a Ibrah was only invited to the police station after he failed to satisfy the terms of an agreement reached with a business partner at CIGUSTA and that was where the video was taken and circulated on social media and given a bad and mischievous twist and interpretation.

It must be also emphasized that Ibrah had to cancel his trip to South Africa because of the meeting with the police and not because he was picked up by the police.

Our sources say the family is shocked at what they described as yellow journalism that was displayed as far the publication of the story is concerned. According to them, the right journalistic standards and practices should have been adhered to before all the falsehood about Ibrah was published; which has gone a long way to tarnish the hard-earned reputation of Ibrah.
