Tutor elected as CPP Fanteakwa Parliamentary candidate

Begoro (E/R), Sept. 13, GNA - Mr Gyimah Aikins Nyantakyi, a tutor at the Osino Secondary School has been elected by popular acclamation, as the C P P parliamentary candidate for the Fanteakwa seat for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

Two other contestants, Mr Ben Agyekum Abrokwaa and Mr Emmanuel M. Baah Adjei stepped down in favour of Mr Nyantakyi.

Mr Emmanuel Tenkorang, Deputy District Electoral Officer of the Electoral Commission, conducted the elections.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Nyantakyi thanked members of the party for their confidence in him and promised to bring development to the constituency if elected.

He promised to continue the good work of Dr Kwame Nkrumah and the CPP and called on all Ghanaians to vote massively for the party's candidates.

The Regional Chairman of the Party, Nana Owusu Sekyere, appealed to Ghanaians to give their mandate to the CPP, as it was the only party that could free Ghanaians from economic hardships and social deprivations.

The Constituency Chairman, Nana Isaac Amponsah expressed surprise that the Government did not utilize the gold refinery put up by the CPP and continued to send the country's gold in its raw state abroad for refining.

Nana Amponsah asked what has happened to the Bonsaso Tyre Factory established by the CPP and said the CPP would revamp all the abandoned factories when elected to power.
