Twellium Foundation hands over ultra-modern classroom block to Dzabukpo community

As part of its efforts of improving accessibility, equity and quality of education in the country; Twellium Foundation has taken another giant step by commissioning an Ultra-modern kindergarten block for Dzabukpo D/A Basic School in Central Tongu District in the Volta region.

The fully furnished kindergarten block (KG) has being stocked with teaching and learning materials to enable the pupils have access to good study environment.

The magnificent edifice is expected to benefit close to 60-70 pupils, who currently attend classes in a deplorable wooden structure.

Twellium Industrial Company Ghana Limited, producers of Rush Energy Drink and Verna distilled water, launched the foundation to undertake social projects to directly impact the lives of the disadvantaged in Ghana.

Commissioning the facility at a very short impressive ceremony at the premises of Dzabukpo D/A Basic School,the Assistant Marketing Director of Twellium Foundation Emelia Gyasi, she noted that, prior to their visit to the community they observed that the school was in a deplorable state which needed urgent attention.

This she said, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); under the Verna Changing Lives initiative, they decided to put up a new edifice for the school.

Adding that,they are not only commissioning a new classroom block for the community but they also presenting Gari processing machine to the women to help them add value to their produce.

According to the Assistant Marketing Director, with the donation of the machine, they are trying to empower the women in order to become economically in dependent.



This she said, they are optimistic that the support would go a long way to raise the economic standards of the women in the community.

However, she entreated the community and the school authorities to periodically maintain the structure so that it can stand the test of time to benefit the majority of the people.

The District Director of Education for Central Tongu District (Adidome) Mr. Henry Kwashie Hevi, speaking at the event, said the commissioning of the facility is timely since it would go a long way to help enhance teaching and learning in the school.



Stressing that, it marked another milestone in the education directorate.
He therefore commended Twellium Foundation for embarking on such benevolent exercise.

He particularly tasked parents and guardians to take responsibility of their wards in ensuring that their children attended school regularly, urging the pupils as well to study hard.



The Headmaster of Dzabukpo D/A Basic School in the Central Tongu District, Mr. Gershon Dordoe, narrated how dire the situation was before Twellium Foundation came to the aid of schools saying it was a threat to the children’s lives.

“The condition made it difficult for teaching and learning as we usually disperse them whenever it’s cloudy or the sun becomes too hot.

All we can say is that we are grateful to Twellium Foundation for their unflinching support,” he applauded.
In all, Pupils who performed well were rewarded for excellent performance in their studies.

Products from Twellium Industrial Company Ghana Limited and education materials were shared to these pupils.
