Accra, Sept 27, GNA- A 27-year old unemployed, Sulemana Abdulai is in the grip of the Madina Police for stealing 849 pieces of alluminium extrusive pallets belonging to the Erikok Company Limited at Adenta.
The alluminium extrusive pallets are used in the moulding of brick roofings.
In an interview with GNA, the proprietor of Erikok Company, Mr. Eric Adadevor said he heard someone who knocked at his main gate on Sunday morning around 0630 hours informed him that a thief has been arrested with some of the alluminium extrusive pallets he has been working with.
When he went to the scene, he was told that Abdulai was found deeply asleep beside 28 piece of alluminium extrusive pallets he had stolen and kept in the bush and was arrested.
Mr. Adadevor also noticed that Abdulai was once his labourer in his factory and noted that was conversant with the environment of the factory.
Mr. Adadevor said the information he gathered at scene also indicated that Abdulai and his accomplices who were on the run, hired a vehicle that dawn and carted a large number of the alluminium pallets away to a hiding place.
He said the items stolen were 849 pieces of alluminium Extrusive pallets and three sets of sitting room chairs all valued at 168 million cedis.
When GNA contacted the Madina District Police Headquarters, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Kwabena Antwi-Bosiako confirmed the story and said efforts were being made to arrest the other four accomplices on the run to face the law.
