Narrating the incident to Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Tarkwa, DSP Benjamin Wordui, Prestea District Police Commander said the two policemen, Constable Osei and Constable Dan Antwi were on their way to the Bogoso Police Station, when they came across one Asare Bediako alias Abass, who was wanted by the police and therefore arrested him. While Bediako was being escorted to the charge office, DSP Wordui said Atta Panyin Ntrakwa and his twin brother, Atta Kakra Ntrakwa and others attacked the policemen and freed Bediako, who is now at large. The two policemen, however, managed to arrest Atta Panyin, who also sustained injuries on the head, but the rest managed to escape with the pistol.
