About two billion cedis is needed to reshape roads in Dansoman and surrounding communities, Ms Theresa Ameley Tagoe, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South has said. Ms Tagoe, who was speaking to the GRi in an interview said plans are far advanced to commence the rehabilitation of Dansoman roads. Most of the roads including the Hansonic to Dansoman Last Stop are in a deplorable state and currently, commercial drivers are reluctant to ply the road from Dansoman Exhibition to the Last Stop. Residents in the area find it difficult getting commercial vehicles, especially, in the evenings since most of the drivers do not go beyond Dansoman Exhibition due to the bad nature of the road. She said the government has intensified efforts to secure funding for rehabilitation of the roads adding that the government has awarded the Hansonic-Dansoman road to a construction firm at a cost of two hundred million cedis. The drainage system at the Dansoman Last Stop would soon be improved to stop over flowing at the least rainfall.
