Two killed in motor accident

Nkonsia (B/A), Dec. 13, GNA - Two persons died on the spot when a Nissan Urvan pick-up with registration number GT 689 R travelling from Wenchi to Techiman ran over them at about 200O hours on December 10. The deceased were identified as Madam Mary Afia Fofie popularly known as 'ENO MARY' and Master Emmanuel Ansu, a Form Two Student of the Koase Secondary Technical School.

Mr. Kofi Bour, a citizen of the area and an eyewitness told the Ghana News Agency at Nkonsia that the driver of the car that caused the accident was carrying a corpse from the Wenchi Methodist Hospital through Nkonsia to Techiman when the accident occurred.

According to Mr. Bour the vehicle skidded off the road and first hit a Taxi cab with registration number BA 829 Q by the road side before running over the two persons killing them instantly.

Master Besea Kwame, a colleague student of the late Master Ansu said the deceased who was a day student had gone out of his house to buy some kenkey to eat when he met his untimely death.

The kenkey seller, Miss Emilia Pensang also told the GNA that while she was selling that night the two deceased persons were together with her with other persons to buy some of kenkey.

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital Mortuary for autopsy pending investigations.
