Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), Dec. 27 GNA - A Circuit Court at Dormaa Ahenkro in Brong Ahafo has remanded two teenagers charged on three counts of conspiracy to steal, unlawful entry and stealing 1.7 million cedis and 72,000 CFA francs belonging to a farmer at Sefwi-Yawmatwa in the Western Region. Clement Bentah, apprentice welder, and Frederick Afful, unemployed, both aged 18, pleaded guilty to the charges and would re-appear before the Court presided over by Mr Justice Vincent Carl Senu on January, 12, 2006.

Prosecuting, Police Inspector M. K. Nyarko told the Court that Mr Kwao Billy left his house at Sefwi-Yawmatwa on December 7 to attend a church convention at Sefwi-Bekwai. He said on the third day the accused persons took advantage of the farmer's absence and broke into his room and stole the money. Inspector Nyarko said when Mr Billy returned and detected the theft he reported the matter to the Police at Sefwi-Kaase, who through investigations arrested the accused. The Prosecutor said the teenagers initially denied any knowledge about the money but later admitted the crime and produced 1.5 million cedis.
