Before the 27-year-old widow of slain Major Maxwell Adam Mahama, Barbara Mahama could recover from the unfortunate and barbaric murder of her husband, two Ghanaian women have crossed swords over the emotionally charged tribute presented deceased before he was finally laid to eternal rest.

Until the latest altercation over Barbara’s posture during the requiem service on Friday 9 June, 2017, scores of Ghanaians have commended the courage and self-control exhibited by Barbara when she took her turn to bid her King farewell.

But an aggrieved Ghanaian woman believed to be living in Diaspora is heard in a WhatsApp audio accusing Barbara amongst other things as being heartless and arrogant.

‘Barbara, I am doing this audio for you, Barbara, you have disappointed the nation Ghana. Look at what happened to your husband, the entire nation is wailing and grieving, but you did not shed tears for the corpse of your late husband. You have disappointed Ghanaians and the nation as a whole, I thought that as a mother of two, you will have emotions. Barbara, look at what you did on last Friday, you created the impression as though you do not know the slain soldier’ she ranted

She went ahead to chastise the poor Barbara for wearing what she claimed was an outmoded sunglass to read her own tribute as if she was reading a magazine or newspaper.

According to her, she can’t comprehend why the widow have to wear those glasses couple with her headgear in the five minutes forty-six seconds’ audio.

But before the tongue-lashing audio could reach the young widow, a concerned woman has forcefully and angrily rebutted the audio.

In the one minute fifty-four seconds’ rebuttal audio, the woman is heard heaping insults on Barbara’s attacker and describing her as uncouth.

According to her, the widow must be allowed to mourn her husband he said is a hero in peace.
