UK minister calls for a strong focus on Science and ICT in Ghana

UK minister calls for a strong focus on Science and ICT in Ghana in order to drive Innovation and Development. Shadow Minister of Science and Innovation and Member of Parliament for Newcastle-Upon-Tyne - Chi Onwurah MP made the call at the launch of the Ghana ICT & Telecom Summit.

She also said she was very excited about the prospect of visiting Ghana,one of the shining stars of Africa and was looking forward to interacting with Ghanaian officials on the challenges they face in the ICT sector, Chi Onwurah who worked for the UK communications regulator OFCOM before becoming an MP has over 20 years experience in the Telecoms sector and hopes to share her experience and knowledge with the delegates at the summit.
