Delegates at the on-going third Research International/ Unilever African Group Conference at Akosombo have underscored the importance of research as an effective tool for marketing in the face of globalisation and technological advancement. The 35 delegates, mostly marketing and research managers and directors from six African countries have therefore reaffirmed their determination to make use of research results with the view to improve the quality of Unilever products and services to enhance the lives of consumers.
Delegates were drawn from South Africa, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Cote'dIvoire, Nigeria and Kenya. The conference which is expected to last for one week was opened by Nana Wereko Ampem II Chief of Amakrom and Gyasehene of Akuapem traditional Area and the chairman of the U.N Committee for Investors as well as advantage group of companies.
