UNSAG set to hold 6th Annual Congress

University Nursing Students' Association of Ghana, UNSAG will from Thursday, November 12 to 15, 2015 begin its annual congress.

This year's Congress dubbed, “Reducing the incidence of Buruli Ulcer Endemic in Ghana: The student nurse as a stakeholder is slated to take place at the Central University College Campus, Accra.

The theme for this congress was informed by the Association's willingness to shine light on conditions affection the poor in society which are receiving little support from key players in the Health Sector.

The Keynote Speaker on the theme is Dr. Edwin Ampadu, who is the National Coordinator for Buruli Ulcer Control Program.

“UNSAG is calling on all its members, alumni and all well-wishers to be part of this year's congress since it promises to be a memorable event. We are also counting on the co-operate world, the media and all stakeholders of Health to help make this program a success. Let's help create more awareness on Buruli Ulcer to help reduce its incidence leading to total eradication”, Mr Augustine Baah Nantwi, president of UNSAG said.

Activities for the Congress includes an official open ceremony, Seminar, health outreach and screening, UNSAG election, Finals of the National Quiz Competition on Buruli Ulcer and a Beach Party.
