CEO of Cleverlines, Mr. Stephen Asiedu has charged wives to involve themselves in the business of their husbands to prevent them from being cheated should the unfortunate happen.

He added that when wives have a clear understanding of their husbands business no matter how small it is and knows the nitty-gritty of every partnership; they will receive their due share in case of any crisis or loss.

According to Mr. Asiedu, there have been several instances where wives have had to settle for less after their husbands are dead.

Speaking on Uniiq FM on the importance of entrepreneurship, the former banker explained that some business partners take advantage of unfortunate situations to present to families what is beneficial to them since the wife who is often left behind cannot validate the authenticity of what has been presented.

To him, one of the main reasons why this happens is because most wives only care about the money coming in and are not interested in educating themselves about their husband’s business or businesses.

“Partnerships are done, one person dies and the other person takes everything and so people have all sort of discomfort about some of these things.

Wives should make it a habit of finding out things for themselves and not just enjoy the money coming in”, he reiterated.

He explained further that wives after getting a clear understanding of their husbands business must ensure that they help their children understand too so that no member of the nuclear family is left in the dark.

“So the unfortunate happens and everything is presented to you how the other partner wants it. You cannot challenge anything because you never tried to understand the structure of the business.

People must get interested in the things that affect them directly”, Mr. Asiedu advised.
