Unique Diploma College celebrates anniversary

Unique Diploma College and Senior High School (SHS), has celebrated its fifth anniversary, at a ceremony at Akim Oda in Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region with the award of certificates to 51 graduates.

Mr Maxwell Owusu – Afriyie one of the proprietors said, the school was started in September 1, 2009, with 61 students and five teachers while the SHS took off in September, 2011, with 34 student and five teachers.

The school now has a population of 184 students at the diploma level and 300 students population at the SHS level.

According to Mr Owusu Afriyie, the aims and objectives of the school are to provide quality pre – tertiary education for SHS graduates and career enhancement and educational continuity for workers.

During the anniversary celebration, Mr Francis Brown Eshun the Registrar, appealed to the Ministry of Education to assist the school in its infrastructure.

Nana Dwamena Akenteng II, Chief of Oda Nkwanta advised the students to study hard to make good grades in order to merit, the huge expenditure their parents make on them.

A representative of Mr Fred Hebert Kpoor, Municipal Education Director, noted that education is a permanent change in behaviour and it is time students assess themselves whether it is reflecting in their lives.
