The University College of Management Studies (UCOMS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Deon & Noed International (DNI), a wholly owned Ghanaian integrated Advisory, Tax and Assurance firm.
The agreement is to enable the two institutions collaborate and work together in bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The agreement will grant opportunities for training of students to acquire the requisite skills for the job market as well as undertake professional courses aimed at building the capacity of new recruits, professionals, leaders, various groups and associations in the private and public sector.
As part of the collaboration, DNI will accept students from UCOMS for internship programmess.
The Rector of UCOMS, Prof K.A. Dzisi was accompanied by the University’s Business Development Manager, Heshbon Opata to sign the MOU at the premises of DNI.
Prof Dzisi expressed his appreciation and delight in finally witnessing the signing of the MOU and reiterated the university’s commitment to promote quality business education. He emphasized that such collaboration will equip students with practical industry experience, which “is very much needed in today’s competitive business environment”.
For his part, the Senior Partner of DNI, Dr. Christopher K. Sokpor, said he was excited about the collaborative effort and the many opportunities it provides for both parties and the country at large.
