The leadership of the University Students’ Association of Ghana is elated about the zeal of the masses especially the youth and for that matter university students for vehemently voting a competent leader to steer the affairs of mother Ghana.
Indeed, students have shown that the progress and growth in our academics is their priority and outmost concern. We must admit that the obvious decision of the masses has brought the Elephant to the Flag Staff House. The days of joy and happiness for the university students is here and we shall strive to ensure that the new government will make this joy a reality.
In light of the above we are glad to CONGRATULATE the President-Elect of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo-Danquah Akuffo Addo, and the New patriotic party for the hard earned victory.
We also congratulate the honoured men and women who have been elected as Members of Parliament for the next Parliament of the fourth Republic of Ghana.
The victory to you all is sweet, the joy is refreshing but the task ahead is daunting; yet in all that, we, the students of Ghana shall strive to support both the executive and the legislature to lead this country in unity, peace and justice.
Let us also use this opportunity to give His Excellency John Mahama a hi 5 for conceding defeat in good time.
Finally, we wish to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the local and international observers, the UN, AU and other diplomats who have played diverse observatory roles to make this election a spector of peace in Africa. Ye man nti, ennye yenti
Thank you …signed….
Henry NKOSUO Boakye
President, University Students’ Association of Ghana (USAG).
