Upper Denkyira West NPP wants Adabor as DCE

Diaso (C/R), March 21, GNA - The Upper Denkyira West constituency of the New Patriotic Party has appealed to the President to re-nominate the acting District Chief Executive for Upper Denkyira, Mr Richard Anane Adabor, as the DCE for the area.

The constituency said Mr Adabor has served the district and the party with sincerity and honesty and that there was no need to replace him.

Mr Charles Kusi, the chairman and Mr Kwame Amponsah, the financial secretary of the constituency, disassociated themselves from ''machinations by some members of the party at the Upper Denkyira East constituency to get Mr Adabor removed.''

"The Upper Denkyira West constituency is not a party to all the machinations by some members of the Upper Denkyira East constituency of the NPP to get the acting DCE removed", they said.

They said because of their ill motive, the East constituency failed to invite the West constituency to a meeting held on February 12 during which they discussed who should be recommended for the consideration of President as the DCE for the district.

That meeting endorsed the candidature of three persons excluding the name of the acting DCE.
