The Member of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo, Bismark Tetteh Nyarko, and Nene Ofei Tagbaja, the Divisional Chief of the Asesewa Divisional area, embarked on a pivotal visit to the Asesewa Senior High School (ASSEC) on February 16, 2025.

Accompanied by Upper Manya Krobo's Assembly members, the delegation sought to address the school's pressing concerns, as raised by the school authorities.

The inspection covered the classroom blocks, boys' and girls' dormitories, assembly hall, and other critical infrastructure.

Upon their inspection, the group identified the most urgent needs, including the construction of washrooms for both boys and girls, the deplorable state of the dining hall, which forces students to dine in batches due to its limited capacity, and the pressing need for a functional assembly hall.

Bismark Tetteh Nyarko expressed his commitment to providing assistance, drawing parallels with his prompt intervention in securing water supply for the school during periods of scarcity.

He stated, "While the delay in the announcement of newly appointed District Chief Executives might impede immediate action, I assure you that I will initiate work using my allocated share of the District Assembly Common Fund, reserved for contingency purposes."

Nene Ofei Tagbaja, in a gesture of solidarity, urged the school authorities to maintain open lines of communication, ensuring their needs are promptly addressed.

He added, "It is crucial that we work together to resolve the challenges faced by the school."

The assistant headmaster of the school expressed gratitude to the delegation and pledged to apprise the headmaster of the deliberations and outcomes.

Emmanuel Kwesi Lawer, a seasoned Assembly member and prominent District Chief Executive aspirant, was also in attendance.
