President Akufo-Addo has pledged his commitment to addressing the poor road infrastructure in the central region.
This, he said, will not only make movement in the area easier but also reduce the cost in doing business.
He explained that the region being the hub of tourism also means that the road infrastructure in order to boost tourist attraction to rake in the needed revenue.
He stressed that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure that the roads are done within the shortest possible time as it forms part of the Syno-Hydro Loan Facility for Infrastructural development.
Addressing the chiefs and people of Cape Coast , President Akufo-Addo called on the chiefs to put in place the necessary measures to ensure a successful Panafest Celebration with this year’s theme dubbed the year of return
He indicated that many diasporians will be visiting the region for the first time and so sanitary conditions and other arrangements must be properly done to give a good account of the region and country to such diasporans and visitors.
The celebration, he explained could serve as a good catalyst for attracting the needed investment in the area and that the authorities should take advantage of it.
President is also expected to address two durbars at the cocoa growing Assin North and South districts as well as cut sod for the construction of a mini harbour at Moree ,the birthplace of the late vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah to boost economic activities there.
