Brigadier-General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah, two-time Chief of Defense Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces and currently the Head of Human Security at the Presidency, has advised politicians to employ the services of experienced persons in running the affairs of the country.
In an interview with Maame Korea on Atinka FM’s ‘Obrempong Ahyase’ on Sunday, Brigadier-General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah mentioned that he had the opportunity to work with Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) under the Kufuor administration as well as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) hence has in-depth knowledge of politics and governance.
He added that upcoming politicians should make it a priority to use such persons in governance to push the development agenda
According to Brigadier-General Nunoo-Mensah, he now sees himself as a statesman and not a politician.
“People don’t know me, I love Ghana more than any political party, the success of Ghana is more of a priority to me than anything,” he reiterated.
He advised Ghanaians to eschew partisan politics and inculcate the habit of putting Ghana first at all times.
