Use festival for reconciliation - Chief

Krobo (B/A), Sept. 4, GNA - Nana Kofi Adum, Anikikoasehene and Benkumhene of Krobo in Techiman Municipality has asked his people to use the Munufie Yam Festival to reconcile with each other. "It is during such periods that offences we commit against each other should be forgiven and forgotten, since to err is human and to forgive is divine", he said.

The chief was addressing a durbar of chiefs and the people in the celebration of the area's annual Munufie Yam Festival at Krobo. Nana Adum advised the people to be law-abiding and show respect for traditional practices and to participate in development programmes. He called on parents to take keen interest in the education of their children to enable them contribute meaningfully to national development.

Nana Adum advised the people to eschew divisive tendencies and forge ahead in unity.

The Queen mother of the Anikokoase, Nana Abena Takyiwaa advised parents to enroll their daughters in school and to ensure that they abstained from pre-marital sex.
