The youth of Ghana have been urged to use their creativity by taking advantage of the institutional framework and systems being put in place by the government to create jobs for themselves.
President John Dramani Mahama, who gave the advice, revealed that government was on the path of putting all the mechanisms and institutional framework in place to assist the youth in unearthing their talents and potentials, hence, the youth must be prepared to take advantage of these mechanisms.
In a Facebook post, Mr Mahama said: “We, on our part, are putting in place the right and adequate infrastructure to help the youth unearth their hidden potentials for the growth and development of the ICT sector in the country.
“I can only urge the youth of Ghana to take advantage of the opportunities that exist within the digital ecosystem; create and adapt to the digital changing world.”
He added: “I joined George Spencer Quaye [a member of the NDC] and his colleagues at the Accra International Conference Centre to open the 2nd Africa Mobile and ICT Expo 2016.
“We live in a world that is growing at a very fast pace, mainly because of the new digital economy. This new economy offers countless opportunities to all of us, especially our younger brothers and sisters.”
