Use your time wisely, students urged

Senior High School (SHS) graduates have been reminded to make wise and profitable use of their time as they await the results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Mr Micheal Asare, Executive Director of WAMB Educational Consult, said they should avoid any bad judgment and mistakes that could haunt them for the rest of their lives.

He was speaking at a forum held to expose them to career and vocational opportunities available in respect of programmes they pursued at the SHS, at the Wood Industries Training Centre, Akyawkrom, in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality.

The forum also served as a platform to sensitize them on the downside and high points of the social media

It was put together by WAMB and the African Institute of Professional Development, with sponsorship from the Spiritan University College at Ejisu.

Mr Asare urged them to strive to improve their skills in Information Communication Technology (ICT).

The Headmaster of the Adanwomase SHS, Mr. K. B. Acheampong, advised them to desist from acts that could bring them into conflict with the law.

“Do not think that you have completed SHS education and so you have completed formal education. The completion of the SHS programme only marks the start of a new journey of life”, he said.
