VPWA and TransCAP Announce Partnership to Streamline Health Initiatives -

(Accra, Ghana) – VOLUNTEER PARTNERSHIPS FOR WEST AFRICA (VPWA), organization
associated in support of community development to enhance health services of
West Africa has expanded its global network through agreement with the
Transitional Center for AIDS Prevention (TRANSCAP) FOUNDATION, INC. for
development and distribution health services in Ghana. VPWA initiates
programs and services in the fight against HIV/AIDS as well as other
communicable diseases. The agreement for distribution services announced in
April 2010 successfully obtained US Federal charitable status under the
501(c)(3) statute of US regulation for the purpose of charitable funding.


Creating this dual-continent agreement throughout North America and West
Africa abroad, VPWA is the first local charitable health services
organization to offer a direct unlimited voice of Ghanaian community for
development, maintenance and distribution of future joint fundraising
efforts in support of community development and health related concerns. "It
is my pleasure to announce that our joint-venture with VPWA will improve
access to both American and Ghanaian communities, each known for strong
support in the fight against HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis and other
communicable diseases," said Bill Powell, President of TransCAP Foundation,
Inc.

Executive Director of VPWA, Hayford Siaw on his part emphasize that, the
need for such partnerships to mobilize resources to fight the spread of
diseases most importantly HIV/AIDs is more urgent than ever. He said, “With
the Oil discovery in Ghana and influx of people from all parts of the world
into the country, strategies and funding to combat diseases have become a
glaring call’’.
