Bangkok (Thailand), Aug. 28, GNA - The Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, on Tuesday arrived in Bangkok, Thailand for a week's official visit to deepen relations between the two countries.
The Vice President, who was met at the Bangkok International Airport by Dr Sorajak Kasemsuwan, Vice Minster at the Head of State's Office, would use the visit to attract investors in commerce, road and infrastructure development to Ghana.
Alhaji Mahama would meet the Thai Prime Minister, Dr Thaksin Shinawatra and the Deputy Prime Minister, Dr Surathkiart Sathirathai and interact with investors in the pharmaceutical sector and attend a dinner to be hosted by the Thailand-Ghana Trade Centre.
He would also be the Guest of Honour at the Emerald Buddha Temple and visit places of socio-economic interest to Ghana. Alhaji Mahama is accompanied by Mr Yaw Asamoa Buabeng, Special Assistant to the Vice President, Mr Akwasi Osei-Adjei, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and NEPAD.
