Veep meets with NDC Japan branch

The Vice President, Mr K.B. Amissah-Arthur, has called on Japan’s branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to increase their level of political activism and also build closer relations with the party back home.

Mr Amissah-Arthur made the call when he met with the executives of the NDC’s Japan branch in Tokyo on Sunday.

The Vice President is attending the third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan.

Mr Amissah-Arthur explained recent developments in the country as well as within the NDC to the gathering.

In particular, he touched on the economy and the current energy situation and also outlined the government’s interventions in addressing them.

For his part, the chairman of Japan Branch of NDC, Mr Emmanuel Dzeamesi-Kudaya, thanked the Vice President for the meeting and assured the party of their unflinching support and commitment to see it re-elected in the 2016 general elections.
