Vice-President Aliu honoured

Accra, Oct 28, GNA- Vice-President Aliu Mahama has been made a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administrators-Ghana in recognition of his concern for professionalism in both public and private sector institutions as well as his dedicated service to the development of the country.

This dedication was shown in the campaign for greater discipline, which he launched last year.

He also received a special award from the Institute of Professional Managers Association based in the United Kingdom. The honour was conferred on him and two others on Tuesday at the second anniversary graduation and induction ceremony of members of the Institute in Accra.

Professor Francis Addo Kufuor, Chairman of the University Council of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology also received an honorary Fellow for his distinguished career in teaching of Chemistry and administration in the University for over two decades. Professor Dominic Fobih, Minister of Lands and Forestry was also rewarded for his achievements in the field of education and administration.

Vice-President Mahama said the honour would give him the opportunity to share ideas with members of the Institute on how to advance the economic development of the country.
