Ex-Deputy Minister of Communication, Victoria Hamah, is one of over 150 PhD students from across the world selected to participate in this year’s Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS).

The gender equity activist and women’s rights advocate disclosed her latest educational step in a post on her Facebook page.

Ms. Hamah is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).

“I am currently at the University of Bergen in Norway to participate in this year’s Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS),” she wrote on Facebook.

“The Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS) on Global Development Challenges is an educational initiative offering annual interdisciplinary doctoral courses on themes related to global challenges. Participants of about 153 PhD students from 45 different countries were selected based on academic merit and scientific quality.

“The BSRS is organised by the University of Bergen (UiB), in collaboration with the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH), the Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI), the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) and NORCE Norwegian Research Centre AS.”

This comes after Ms Hamah was in the Czech Republic earlier this year on an Erasmus Exchange Program for a two-month period.
