Victory will elude us in 2024 elections if we don't campaign enough – NPP scribe

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong has advised the supporters of the party to campaign vigorously to ensure the party’s victory in the 2024 elections.

Addressing party supporters at a mini rally at the party’s headquarters in Accra, the NPP scribe said the party will be heading towards opposition if they become complacent and think the party will win the elections based on its track record of performing better than the NDC in government.

“We have barely three months to the elections… I call on all of you to take part and actively be involved in the retail campaign. We should not be complacent by thinking that because we have out-performed the NDC; we have done so many roads, and so much development, it is a done deal. Please let us work very hard to make sure we break the eight come December 7th…,” he appealed.

He further called on particularly appointees of the government to involve themselves in the campaign.

“For our appointees who are here, we are grateful to most of you who have shown and proven to us that indeed it is through the party that you got your appointment…but if you are an appointee and sitting on the fence, please revise your notes and join us to campaign…,” he charged.

His view was re-echoed by the campaign chairman, Dan Botwe who on ascending the stage called on former executives including Kwabena Agyapong, Peter Mac Manu and Freddie Blay, who are actively involved in the campaign.

He further called on all former executives of the party to work hard to ensure victory.
