A video has resurfaced online showing electronic appliances that Dakoa Newman, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Okaikwei South Constituency, distributed to some of her constituents.
This comes after her defeat in the December 7 election, where she lost the seat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Ernest Adomako.
Newman secured 24,263 votes, representing 42.60% of the total votes, while Adomako garnered 32,691 votes, accounting for 57.40%.
In the video shared on X by Sika Official on Tuesday, December 12, 2024, constituents were seen carrying electronic appliances branded with posters of Dakoa Newman’s image alongside that of the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Despite being a part of her campaign strategy, the distribution failed to secure the support she had hoped for.
