Vikileaks: Investigate claims of monies given to Omane Boamah

One principal lesson drawn from the recorded tape of the former Minister of Communication, Ms Hamah, is that people must be circumspect in their interactions, more especially with friends.

But a New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth Aspirant, Richard Nyamah, believes the contents on the leaked tape has affirmed the notion that the current National Democratic Congress (NDC) government is full of self-seeking persons.

He wants the country’s investigative agencies, to delve into claims that some amount of monies were given to Dr. Omane Boamah, Minister for Communications, and the purpose for which he was given those monies and the source.

“We either discard it as a people because we don’t care, or we investigate and prosecute…the trend in this country is that from the President to the last person in this country, we like to talk than to work for Ghana.”

“...if the deputy minister says she wants $1 million dollars just as her boss had received some money, then you know that it runs through this government...the police should be investigating the same tape on corruption involving Dr. Omane Boamah. This must be done to ascertain the purpose of the money he received and from which company; because somehow it has been established that this government deals in create, loot and share, led by President Mahama,” he stated.
